CHARIOT - Major Tarot card

The Chariot represents the positive aspects of the ego. A healthy ego is one that is strong
and self-assured. It knows what it wants and how to get it. We can get annoyed at
someone whose ego is too healthy, but we often turn to that person to lead us through
difficult moments. We know he or she won't be wishy-washy.
In readings, the Chariot often appears when hard control is or could be in evidence. At its
best, hard control is not brutal, but firm and direct. It is backed up by a strong will and
great confidence. The Chariot can mean self-control or control of the environment. This
card also represents victory. There are many types of wins; the Chariot's is of the win-lose
type. Your success comes from beating the competition to become number one. Such moments
are glorious in the right circumstances.

Briefly: Travel awaits you. Should the other travel card, the six of swords also be in your card layout, then this is an
indicator that you are to move across new ground, or maybe even purchase a mode of travel such as a car.
Full Reading: Generally speaking this card depicts some kind of travel. Should the other travel card, the six of swords
also be in your card layout, then this is an indicator that you are to move across new ground. However, even by itself,
as this is a major arcana card, travel is still a strong possibility. You may travel quite a distance and
your goal is to get there, by whatever means you can find, even horseback if necessary. This can
also mean that someone is coming from a long distance towards you. For some people this can
represent getting a new mode of transport, such as buying your first car, or buying a new car
or bike or whatever. The emphasis is on getting to your destination by the quickest route available.
This card too is about choices. You may have to make a major decision around this time that will
alter your circumstances quite dramatically. Do not resist change for that will disrupt the natural f
low of events that are waiting to unfold for you. Also I have seen this card manifest in matters to do
with re-decorating the home. Sometimes it is just new curtains or cushions, however the
aim is to bring comfort into the home.

In this card we see the charioteer driving the two lions. He is
taking charge of the situation, and making his move.

This card reminds us that it is important to not lose sight of our
goals. Take steps every day that move you towards your highest
ambitions.

Try making a "to do" list or break your larger goals into
smaller, "bite sized" chunks and cross off all the smaller goals as
you reach them. Seeing your progress at a glance can keep you on
purpose and motivated.

The Chariot card reminds us that growth requires action. If you
have been spending more time planning than doing lately, put your
plans into action.

The chariot is a card of ambition and desire, but also a card of
stamina and drive. Do whatever it takes to boost your enthusiasm
and stay on purpose. Also, evaluate your goals. If you find some
goals remain elusive, or you can't seem to get things moving,
perhaps you are chasing the wrong dream. When we are truly
passionate about a goal, the energy to achieve it will follow.

The chariot speaks of the ability to overcome obstacles as you
continue to make progress.
